Application for Harmony Kendall YOU NAME: Briege AGE: 26 E-MAIL: briegegrant@yahoo.com AIM: lonestarclaire TIMEZONE: GMT OOC JOURNAL: dealga PREVIOUS RP EXPERIENCE: Here Lots :)
CHARACTER NAME: Harmony Kendall FANDOM: Buffyverse AGE: 24, but...dead since s3 Buffy :) ALIGNMENT (GOOD, EVIL, NEUTRAL): Neutral, or tries to be, well she doesn't have a soul...okay so evil. But not like, world ending evil, just again, not a soul having vampire :) SKILLS/POWERS/SPECIAL ABILITIES: (in your own words) Just those of a regular Buffyverse Vamp. BRIEF BACKGROUND SUMMARY: Harmony attended Sunnydale High, where she was a member of Cordelia Chase's clique, the "Cordettes." But when Cordelia started dating Xander Harm took her position as leader of the group. After Cordelia and Xander's breakup, Harmony cruelly tricked Cordelia into thinking that she has been re-admitted into the clique, only to humiliate and reject her. In the final battle with Mayor Wilkins during his Ascension Harmony who has been fighting alongside her classmates is bitten and sired by a vampire minion of the Mayors.
She retains her vapid selfishness but somehow, strangely winds up in a passionate affair with Spike, who has come back to Sunnydale hunting a Gam that will make the wearer immune to sunlights effects, Their relationship is heated to say the least Spike is frustrated by Harmony's ignorance and clinginess while she is exasperated with his broken promises, lack of visits to France and repeated attempts to kill Buffy who she wonders why he can't just get over. He even once stakes her though the fact that she is wearing the gem of Amara saves her from final death. She never quite forgives him for this. They separate, although she agrees to rekindle their relationship after Spike escapes from the Initiative. Harmony quickly regrets this decision after recognizing Spike's renewed campaign against the Slayer, and even chases him out of her lair with a stake when he desperately seeks her help. Its a show of strength for her. After breaking up with Spike, Harmony wants to be independant, a vampire who can get by on her own, she gathers her own gang and makes her own attempt to kill Buffy, This does not go well and she looses her minions, finally giving up on the idea and on Spike fleeing to LA to visit her old friend Cordelia but leaving out the whole vampire part of the 'whats been happening' conversation. while staying with her Harmony finds it hard to keep her vampiric tendencies in check.
She sneaks into Cordelia's bedroom at night, driven by bloodlust, but instantly apologizes for her actions and intentions when Cordelia wakes up. Cordelia misunderstands her explanation, believing her to be a lesbian with a crush on her until the matter is cleared up by Willow via a phone call. Despite this, Cordelia insists on giving Harmony a chance, despite the rest of the team growing frustrated with such habits as her popping gum or tearing pages out of books. She accompanies the Angel Investigations team on a mission to investigate a new vampire cult, but soon betrays them to their enemies. Cordelia nearly kills Harmony, but, out of some respect for the friendship they once shared, allows her to leave.
A few years later, Harmony tries to make a life for herself in L.A. She gets a job at the L.A. branch of Wolfram & Hart, as a member of the secretarial pool. A few weeks in, Wesley Wyndam-Pryce hires her out of the blue to be Angel's new personal secretary, he thought that a familiar face would be good for Angel. Angel reluctantly agrees, on the strict condition that Harmony refrains from drinking human blood which she tells Angel she has already been off for several months
Harmony is reunited with Spike when he returns, first as a ghost and then in corporeal form. She tries to connect with him, and initially hopes to renew their relationship now that he has a soul. Spike shows no interest for Harmony until he regains his corporeal form and proceeds to seduce her into a disastrous fling, after which neither of them puts any effort into rekindling their relationship.
At this point in her un-life, Harmony feels isolated and alone. She knows that she is incompetent as an evil vampire, but her struggle to lead a more normal life is hindered because she lacks a soul. Angel often treats her with distrust and barely-masked hostility, and her input, ideas, and presence are generally ignored by his team. Harmony also experiences an inability to connect with her co-workers, who resent her quick rise to the position of the CEO's secretary, this resentment goes so far as for another vampire secretary to frame her for murder, the vampire also substituting her animal blood for human blood to make it appear as though Harmony drank from the victim. She clears her name and ironically saves a demon summit by staking her scheming rival on the conference table. When it comes down to the final fight against the Black Thorn, Harmony betrays Angel, revealing his plans to Marcus Hamilton, the Senior Partners' new liaison, with whom she has a sexual relationship. Angel, however, always expected her to betray him at some point, so he had only confided information that he wanted her to reveal. After her betrayal which Angel blames on her lack of a soul, and she blames on his lack of confidence in her, he fires her, but not before providing her with a letter of recommendation which he had already written and left on her desk in anticipation of her betrayal. As Angel and Hamilton prepare to fight each other, she runs off, telling them she hopes the best man wins
Leaving the battle, and the whole unpleasent end of the world stuff behind Harmony caused vampires to be exposed to the world at large when she bit comedian Andy Dick in an alley and was photographed in vampire face by tabloids. This led to her becoming the star of a reality show "Harmony Bites". She also caused a major public perception problem to Slayers after one of them, a new, lone Slayer called Soledad who had refused to join up with the Squads tried to dust Harmony during a party. Harmony killed the Slayer, yes all on her own, only lame vamps like Spike say its hard or mystical or whatever, She then used the media attention to drive the public against Slayers and became a spokeswoman of sorts for vampire rights and still famous. Way famous. PB: Mercedes McNab JOURNAL USERNAME: harmonybites WAS THIS CHARACTER HELD FOR YOU? yes
EXAMPLE OF FIRST-PERSON ENTRY:
Slayers Suck. They suck, they just do. I mean there I was, all amazing just being Harmony cause I got to tell you, after all the sex with Marcus and the end of the world and LA going hellbound and all I did pretty damn well for myself, got a newer better gang, then betrayed them, got a job for a while with the best refrence from Angel and then...sortofmighthavebitacelebrity... got discovered!, my self confidance is totally back and I know now that my last boyfriend was entirely just using me because he couldn't accept he was all wrong and Slayer wanting and stuff, Ew. So anyway I'm just minding my own vampiric business and being fabulous at a party and this little bitch tries to stake me, STAKE me!. Mean!
So we fought and she died. Cause much as SOMEONE used to brag about it, killing a Slayer is way not hard. Not that I did it for kicks or anything but she tried to kill me! and okay so her blood was frigging awesome and the total best ever so maybe he was right about that but thats not the point
I just wanna have a normal fabulously famous life. Whats so wrong with that!
So all in all. Slayers.
They suck. And are Lame.
EXAMPLE OF THIRD-PERSON ENTRY:
So she'd technicly just outed Slayers worldwide. Buffy was gonna be pissed! But Harmony didn't care. Because they deserved it with their totally speciest ways. All she'd done was kill someone trying to kill her, what was so wrong with that. But of course she was a vampire, and not all soul having like Spikey or Angel. No she was just a regular evil vampire. Which was fine when she was torturing for the team and bringing Angel his morning blood but not now that things were all weird in LA. Nooo she was evil.
Jerks. All of them. She should kill them too.
Or was that too evil. She was never sure, it wasn't her fault. She didn't have a soul and they needed to remember that otherwise it was just cruel. They needed to give her more of a chance and they never ever would.
Stupid dead Slayer. But man had she ever tasted good. Killing a Slayer was a total buzz, and easier than Spike had let on. He was all talk though, Harmony had decided that a long while ago.
She looked around her apartment, populated as it currently was with hangers on who just wanted to be close to her, who bent their necks to her on tap, all just wanting to get to know her.
It was freaking awesome and she never wanted it to end. So she'd try to play nice with the Slayers. Even if they did suck for trying to kill her. |
